Ann Druffel (1926-2020). Her interest in the UFO phenomenon dates back to 1945, when, as a schoolgirl, she viewed a bright yellowish object over Long Beach, California. In 1957 she became one of the first investigators for the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena and remained with that organization until its demise in 1973. Since then she has been an investigator for the Mutual UFO Network and other scientifically minded organizations. She has written more than 200 articles in UFO journals and is the author of six books on UFOs and other paranormal subjects, including How To Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction, and Firestorm! Dr. James E. McDonald's Fight For UFO Science.
