Marie Cheslik is an author, founder, certified sommelier, and registered nurse from Chicago. Marie passed the Certified Exam from the Court of Master Sommeliers and worked her way up to Wine Director at a Michelin-starred restaurant. In August 2020, she founded Slik Wines as a way to continue teaching about wine in an approachable way, receiving praise from Eater, Punch, Imbibe, Chicago Magazine, VinePair, and being nominated to Wine Enthusiast's 2023 Future 40. She had her first book, "How to Read a Wine Label," published by Peridot Publishing in October of this year.
