For as long as she remembers, Bug has been drifting along, doing what's expected of her. While she spends her days supporting her grandfather in his workshop, her nights are haunted by the demon under her roof. However, as a new law on her craft is about to be voted on, everything she knows is turned on its head. Tensions mount, both in her town and in her family, with one side insisting on modernity and the other clinging to tradition. So, for the first time in her life, Bug has to decide whether she will keep to her thoughts, or finally speak her mind.

Autorenporträt
Ira Burnstein was born in 2000 as the youngest of three siblings in a German Buddhist household. From a very young age she held a fascination for literature and storytelling, starting on her first story when she was around 8 years old. While the concept of the vengeful Sci-Fi Cinderella never made it pasts its early stages, many other ideas have formed and persisted over the years, across a variety of genres. Ira hones her craft with passion and joy, going so far as to incorporate it into her academic work. When she is not procrastinating deadlines, she is likely to be found in the kitchen where she dedicates her time to two of her other passions: good food, and good bread.
