In this book, the role of human capital as the basis of economic and social development is examined through a comprehensive literature survey and critical analysis in conjunction with its interplay with social capital. Il dottor Koç ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Ingegneria industriale e dei sistemi presso l'Ohio State University nel 1999 e un eMBA presso l'Università di Sheffield nel 2014, dopo aver conseguito la laurea e il master in Ingegneria meccanica. È professore fondatore di Sostenibilità presso l'HBKU. In precedenza ha ricoperto incarichi di ricercatore, direttore, professore, presidente e decano/direttore presso università negli Stati Uniti e in Turchia.
