This book has arisen out of a research project to a doctorate program. It brings a detailed explanation about the hypertext composition and its impact on the writing process of higher education students. The process of hypertext composition was represented in a model from which is possible to see activities which were developed by students and their perceptions about the linear writing process. Results from this study have contributed to Pedagogy (teaching of writing), Information Technology (hypertext design and construction) and Human-Computer Interaction (human factors in computing). Readers might have a particular interest not only in the results of the study but also in the methodological approach employed to collect and analyse data.
