Farhana Hossain is a visual artist, creator of Shakti Art Studios and author of the new children's book I Believe in Me. Becoming a mother to a child with congenital heart defect, adapting to the needs of a medically fragile child, and ultimately grieving her death, has led Farhana on a journey in healing, finding peace, and deep joy in her life today. She has a unique insight into surviving loss through introspective work while being open, vulnerable, brave, and compassionate with herself and those around her. She launched a series of artwork called Life After Loss to help grieving clients find precious moments and teachings from their loss and learn to express them through art. Her latest work in the Affirmations Series draws upon her own experiences of using affirmations to rebuild her self-confidence and find her authentic voice.
