Thunk, thunk, THUNK! The sound came from the kitchen above my head, followed by giggling, bursts of laughter, and shouts of joyous amazement. Thunk, thunk! I could tell the laughter was that of my two little boys, ages three and four. Curiosity got the best of me, so I snuck up the stairs to see what was so fun. Before reaching the top two steps, I stopped and peered around the corner. I almost started to laugh, but thoughts of this activity being repeated stopped me. So I pretended to be mildly upset. What had they done? Let's just say that the kitchen rug and floor had a unique design of opaque and bright yellow, shiny, slimy mounds. Each mound was closely crowded by a sharp, tattered, crisp-white shell. Only four of the three dozen eggs had survived! The camera was soon clicking to capture the experience. There are times when our faces and voices respond too quickly to the situation, resulting in undermining the love we have for our kids. Are we making sure our children know of our love for them and their importance during difficult times? Do we show an increase of love after a reprimand? This compilation of alliterations will hopefully help you find joy in your journey, focus on what's most important, and tell our children that you love them, A to Z.
