The first poem I remember ever writing was for my dad's funeral program in January 1994. "I Was Numb Until I Remembered I Was Loved" is a poetry book dedicated to the growth in healing of the many roles we play in the different relationships and friendships we've encountered over the years. We often wrestle with the thoughts in our head and sometimes if we sit on it too long, our thoughts can become our worst enemy. I've learned to release my feelings through journaling and poetry. I've learned an eccentric way of art through word play to release those thoughts that cloud space in my head. This book of poems is a representation of those thoughts and feelings.
