This research analyses media usage, particularly Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and their impact on development. We focused on the experience of Songhai sites to decipher and assess the pace of their adoption. The obstacles likely to delay this process were identified and analysed. No one can ignore the considerable contribution of the media to development today. All sectors of activity are impacted by ICT, which makes them more efficient and profitable. Their sole purpose is to improve productivity and knowledge acquisition. However, this objective can only be achieved when the adoption process does not encounter any major obstacles. For this research, we have chosen the adoption of ICT for development as our research paradigm. Through a systematic survey, we identified the target population, which consists of three categories of people: administrative staff, trainers and learners, including trainees at the Songhai sites in Benin.
