This book contains all twelve of Tennyson's Idylls of the King retold in prose. Each one is complete in itself, but together, they tell the story of the rise and fall of the Round Table-of Arthur's dream of a noble brotherhood, of the valiant knights who strove to uphold it, and of the love, betrayal, and fate that brought it to ruin. Rich in romance, adventure, and tragic beauty, these prose idylls bring new clarity and emotional depth to the legendary world of Camelot, making the timeless poetry of Tennyson accessible to modern readers while preserving its grandeur and pathos.
