Fidelma Hernon, Ph.D. is a scientist by profession, having served as a research scientist, a medical scientist, and a surveillance scientist. She regards science as the study of God's creation.While attending a prayer group, she had a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit that set her on a new path with the Lord. Fidelma began reading the Bible and attending Bible study, where she discovered why many of her prayers had gone unanswered. She learned a new way of praying by declaring the words of the Bible, God's holy words, over her life. As she began to do this, her prayers were answered.The Lord then drew out a new gift from her: speaking in tongues-a private, spiritual language between her and God. Soon after, He gave her the gift of interpretation in the form of beautiful, sweet verses.
