The Development Studies Exhibition is an annual event organized by the Graduate Program in Regional Development/UNIJUÍ, which is structured around three Lines of Research: a) Business Management, b) Public Policies and Social Management and c) Territorial Development and Management of Productive Systems. The knowledge produced by master's students, doctoral students and researchers, summarized in this volume, brings together the results of research selected and presented at the II Mostra de Estudos do Desenvolvimento, held in 2014, and focuses on various themes and approaches related to the Public Policies and Social Management Research Line. This line of research covers topics such as: the study of conceptions of the state, society, planning, management and analysis of public policies; governance, governability, intra- and intergovernmental relations, political-administrative decentralization and the organizational architecture of the state apparatus in the different spheres andpowers, with an emphasis on new institutional arrangements in the management of public services and the problems of local power and urban and regional planning and other related aspects.
Autorenporträt
DIETER R. SIEDENBERG is an administrator with a master's degree in regional planning from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and a doctorate (2000) in economic geography from the University of Tübingen, Germany. SÉRGIO L. ALLEBRANDT is an Accountant with a Master's Degree in Business Management from EBAPE/FGV and a PhD (2010) in Regional Development from the University of Santa Cruz do Sul.
