The story continues the saga of French Detective Genevieve Benoit as she searches for the drug smuggler Nazim Aziz. She and her partner come across a murder vicitim, a prominent human-rights activist with a dark past. During the investigation, she's approached by the former Legionnaire, Gregory Arsenault, who offers to help her find his former partner Aziz, but with conditions. As a show of goodwill, Arsenault provides clues to the location of the kidnapped officer by the Maghrebis gang involved in a human trafficking ring. In the middle of the investigation, Genevieve is pressed by her lover, Hector Dupont into revealing a secret she'd hope to never relive. In the end, she must decide between accepting Arsenault's terms and pursue her to capture the smuggler and put her loyalties as an officer to the test, or ignore his offer and lose the one chance to close her case.

Autorenporträt

Anthony is a first generation American and native Californian, the son of Scottish immigrants. His father Peter was born in Glasgow and his mother Catherine was born in Edinburgh. Anthony's fraternal grandparents, Michael and Margaret were both born in Ireland.
Anthony is married to his high school sweetheart, Mary, and has been blessed with two daughters, Rebekah and Jennifer.
A product of a mixed education (part parochial and part public schools), he developed a thirst for reading early in his childhood, and took to writing fiction as an escape from his work as an Instructional Systems Designer.
When not working on improving his writing, Anthony can be found on the local golf course, honing his game invented by his ancestors.
