When you think of caregivers, you might think of someone with a big heart. You might think of people who defy the odds to show up for their loved ones in miraculous ways beyond what can be imagined for an individual to do. This can be the intersection where loyalty may come with complete disregard to one's own self-care. Being a parent is both a privilege and an honor. Few things can be as devastating as discovering your child has a potentially life-threatening illness that they may have to deal with for the entirety of their life. Pippa Maha takes you behind the scenes of her caregiving experience as her daughter battles with sickle cell, while searching to find balance and time for her own well-being. The resilience of the human spirit truly defines her story. She gives insight on how difficult it really is and offers hope for those that are looking for solace in knowing that they can also lead a life all their own, even through the fatigue, depression, depletion, and resentment they may experience through caregiving every single day. I'm Not Your Superwoman is a powerful true story written to help others find their way out of those dark times and discover their inner strength and the beauty awaiting in living their best life in the moment.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.

Autorenporträt
Pippa Maha was born in Lagos, Nigeria to parents, Philip and Victoria Maha. While in Nigeria, she earned her diploma in TV Production and moved to Brazil as a young adult, where she earned her first degree in International Relations. Pippa grew up surrounded by different cultures and loves to cook, read, and critique movies, art, and music. She later relocated to the United States and earned her MBA in Global Business, while working in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry for two decades. Her mission is to motivate others who are going through life changes and traumatic experiences to find a way to live an elevated life by sharing her experience through public speaking, mentorship, and her literary works. She believes that "everything we go through in life prepares us for our next sequence in life" and that we all have a "universal connection" that we get glimpses of through our food, culture, music, and self-expression. Pippa enjoys spending time with her children, grandson, and her dog, Osha, affectionately known as Chickboo.
