Autorenporträt
Terri E. Givens is the former provost at Menlo College and Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. She has written extensively on immigration politics, the radical right, and antidiscrimination policy in Europe, and is a Senior Fellow with the Center for the Analysis of the Radical Right (CARR). She is most recently the author of Legislating Equality: The Politics of Antidiscrimination Policy in Europe (2014) and is a regular blogger and commentator for a variety of outlets. She has been teaching courses and speaking on the politics of immigration policy for over 20 years. Rachel Navarre is Assistant Professor of political science at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. She received her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in Government and specializes in the fields of comparative politics and public policy. After completing her degree, she was a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Inter-American Policy at Tulane University in New Orleans. Her research focuses on comparative public policy, specifically issues of framing and issue definition; immigration policy and politics; regional governance; populism; and content analysis. Pete Mohanty is a data scientist at Google. He was previously a science, engineering & education fellow and lecturer in the Department of Statistics at Stanford University. He holds a PhD in Government from the University of Texas at Austin where he studied comparative immigration politics in Europe and where he was advised and mentored by Terri E. Givens. Pete's research adapts recently developed statistical methods and models to the challenges of comparative research, especially how xenophobia affects political behavior.
