The incidence of osteoporosis can only be prevented by primary prevention which includes number of endeavors, one of which is provision of health education to those population who are at higher risk of disease. The primary step of health education is to assess knowledge of the population for which health education program is to be designed. This symposium comprises of two studies. The first study was conducted to evaluate the knowledge of young females about osteoporosis especially those who heard about the term osteoporosis. The other section of the symposium consists of second study which was evaluating the impact of health education on knowledge of young females regarding the disease osteoporosis.
