A growing concern in the transportation of perishable products is the delay that occurs during transportation, sometimes causing alterations to these products. The objective of this research was to determine the factors that impact the transportation of perishable products to the north of the State of Sonora. It was carried out in the facilities of the elements commissioned at the road checkpoint. Some of the factors that most affect perishable products during transportation are military inspections, followed by federal inspections, as well as road infrastructure, phytosanitary inspections and toll booths. Perishable products are of great importance to the nation's economy, since Mexico is a major exporter of vegetables and fruits, but there have been complaints from perishable cargo carriers, mainly due to delays at military checkpoints.
