George P. Berg has over 45 years of experience in the construction industry - 15 of those years dedicated to quality and productivity matters. He is the retired President of Construction Research, Inc., a research and management consulting firm. Prior to Construction Research, Inc., George was a senior manager with Sturgeon Electric in Denver, Colorado providing training in productivity. Previously, he was a senior practice manager for the Western United States for the Quality & Productivity Group of FMI. He has been a guest lecturer at universities and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. George is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute. He is a past member of the American Association of Cost engineers. George served in the US Marine Corps as an Infantry Rifleman and Fireteam Leader and was awarded two Purple Hearts, the Presidential Unit Citation, Navy-Marine Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal among others including the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry (Unit).
