Autorenporträt

The author's poetry reflects his keen interest in the human condition - our origins, behaviors, relationships, ideologies, scientific inquiry, how we view our world and the universe in which we reside. He previously published four poetry collections, From Microbe to Consciousness, After the Blast, So You Want to Be a Poet, and Of Poetry and Poets (winner of the 2021 Georgia Poetry Society's Charles Dickson Chapbook Award.) He also published a novel, And Then the Monarchs Flew Away. In 2022 he won the Federation of State Poetry Societies' Founders First Place Award. The 100 line, $1000 prize winner, "Ginsberg," is featured in this collection and on pages 1, 2, and 3 of the NFSPS annual anthology, Encore Prize Poems 2022.
