Carolyn and I have been writing songs together since 1997. Over the years, we've absorbed a wealth of musical knowledge and insight from many talented composers. One standout influence has been Michael Gancz, whose work in the music book In the Owl's Nest deeply enriched our journey. Michael Gancz-a composer, arranger, and music researcher from Rockville, Maryland-holds a B.A. in music theory and composition from Yale University. His expertise and creativity have left a lasting impression on our work.
