My aim with this book is to describe the sociability of a group of people formed on the Internet. Because it is network-based, the very notion of a group is conceptually altered, but the notion of a networked grouping remains very clear. The concept of sociability is approached in such a way as to be, generically, the exchange between these individuals in a multiple and fluid space: the Internet and then their face-to-face interactions. The proposal is carried out with the utmost descriptive rigour (ethnography) and with some comparative notes with other similar contemporary groups. The result is that the group researched (the Galera ZAZ group) presents similar characteristics and some more particular ones in relation to a broad spectrum of sociability possible in today's world and, as was my proposal, the focus is on the description of these characteristics: rituals, codes, symbols and forms of interaction that give meaning to this specific sociability.
