Colorectal cancer presents a real public health problem whose frequency is gradually increasing in our Tunisian population.Recent data have confirmed the concept that inflammation is an essential component in the carcinogenesis process in CRC. For this reason, we conducted this work where we observed that TNF , IL1beta, IL6, IL8, IL10 and IL22 could be considered as potential prognostic biomarkers in colorectal cancer by identifying patients with poor prognosis requiring aggressive treatment and patients with high risk of recurrence requiring closer monitoring. It is also possible to identify a new prognostic score from these serum biomarkers; simpler and more accurate.
