This study explores the role of radio broadcasting, particularly Radio Benue's "Farmers Digest," in promoting youth participation in agriculture in Benue State, Nigeria. Radio has long been recognized as an effective medium for disseminating information, setting agendas, and fostering development, especially in rural communities. The research assesses the programme's effectiveness, its influence on youth attitudes toward agriculture, and the challenges limiting its impact. Using a survey method, data was collected from 382 respondents, revealing significant awareness of the programme's role in disseminating agricultural information, encouraging youth engagement, and shaping public opinion about agriculture. However, challenges such as inadequate funding, poor programming, government control, and obsolete equipment hinder its full potential. Recommendations include increased investment, updated equipment, and improved content to enhance youth participation in agriculture, contributing to economic development and food security in the region.
