Project success leads to a country's development and achievement of their strategic goal. However, in Somaliland many projects allocated to different sectors have not successful in the past years due to unknown reasons. Therefore, the study investigated the influence of project team competence on project success of local Nongovernmental organizations in Borama District. The objectives of the study were to determine the influence of project team communication skills, project team leadership skills, and project team conflict resolution skills on project success of local Nongovernmental organizations in Borama District. Based on competence theory, the study used a cross sectional survey on 60 project managers and other staffs of local non-governmental organizations Borama district. The data was collected using questionnaire and analysed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.
