HE IS A CERTIFIED PASTORAL ADDICTION COUNSELLOR. HE RECEIVED THE STATE OF GEORGIAGOVERNOR'S AWARD IN 1987 FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICES IN MENTAL HEALTH AND DRUG ADDICTION SERVICES. HE IS LISTED AMONG MARQUIS' WHO IS WHO AS PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS. HE IS A GRADUATE OF MOREHOUSE COLLEGE, CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY, GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY AND THE MOREHOUSE SCHOOL OF RELIGION AT ITC IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA.
