Malek Hanna is a dynamic, award-winning actor, singer, filmmaker, and entrepreneur whose journey has been guided by a deep desire to heal, connect, and awaken. Born in Brooklyn, New York to Arab immigrant parents, Malek grew up navigating cultural contrasts, spiritual longing, and creative fire. As a child, he served as an altar boy, and years later, experienced a humbling moment of grace when he was blessed by the Pope after singing at the Vatican. He studied Political Science and Theater, later earning a master's in Media and Public Communication and beginning a Ph.D in Communication, which he left upon realizing his path was not just academic - but spiritual, artistic, and deeply human. While attending Fordham University, a Jesuit institution, Malek also studied theology, exploring sacred texts and the spiritual teachings that would go on to shape his life and work. His evolution as a seeker has led him to explore a wide range of healing modalities and wisdom traditions, including The Reconnection, chakra clearing, SRT (Spiritual Response Therapy), Vipassana meditation, Buddhist chanting, and interfaith rituals. He has visited churches, mosques, temples, synagogues, and ashrams, always returning to the same essential truth: love is the thread that unites all paths. Malek has drawn inspiration from spiritual and thought leaders such as Eckhart Tolle, Bashar, Deepak Chopra, Joe Dispenza, Marianne Williamson, Thich Nhat Hanh, Don Miguel Ruiz, Osho, and Anthony Robbins, among others. Rather than collecting teachings, he describes this journey as a process of remembering - an inner resonance with wisdom that felt both familiar and divine. At his core, Malek is a healer through the performing arts and embodiment. As a performer, he channels energy that reaches beyond words - inviting others to feel, reflect, and realign. His presence is his message. His life, a living example that transformation is possible. "Inner Flight" is his debut book - part spiritual memoir, part soul invitation.
