Studying the semi-arid region is challenging, especially the Seridó Territory in Rio Grande do Norte. Er ist Forschungsprofessor an der Staatlichen Universität von Rio Grande do Norte (UERN) und hat einen Bachelor- und Master-Abschluss in Verwaltung der UFPB sowie einen Doktortitel in ländlicher Beratung der UFSM. Er forscht und berät in den Bereichen Entwicklung und öffentliches Management. Sie war an der Gründung der Abteilung für Innovation und Unternehmertum an der UERN beteiligt.
