Laura Zacher is an amateur photographer, artist and author enjoying travel and adventure as time and income allow. She enjoys interacting with residents of communities and engaging fellow travelers, traveling with companions and tour groups and sharing her experiences with others through photography, painting and writing. She enjoys learning the basics of languages where she travels. Laura has spent most of her career in community development activities in various remote rural and inner-city urban U. S. communities, assisting with moving a variety of goals forward through complex system - most recently a $1.5 million public art initiative in the city of St. Louis. In addition to hiking and camping, Laura and her husband, Zach, travel together and apart, and enjoy a home lifestyle of reading, cooking, and filmwatching with their pet cat, Nefertari (Neffie) - and they enjoy visiting with friends and family, most of whom the cat hides from.
