Amani Abu-Shaheen completed her master’s degree in public health/epidemiology from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan. Currently, she is the chairperson of the scientific writing and biostatistics department at King Fahad Medical City, Riyadh Second Health Cluster, Saudi Arabia. Ms. Shaheen’s areas of research interest include epidemiology, public health, research and academic integrity, and predatory scientific journals. She has written several papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals and is a member of some professional bodies, including the academic integrity policies group of the European Network of Academic Integrity (ENAI). Dr. Muaawia Ahmed Hamza completed his bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and master’s degree in biochemistry from Omdurman Islamic University, Sudan; he received a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University College Dublin, National University of Ireland, Ireland. Currently, Dr. Hamza is the director of the biomedical research administration as well as the chair and co-founder of the Research and Academic Integrity (RAI) team at King Fahad Medical City, Riyadh Second Health Cluster, Saudi Arabia. His areas of research interest include protein biochemistry, research integrity, plagiarism, contract cheating, and academic misconduct. Dr. Hamza has written several papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals and is a member of some professional bodies including the Royal Society of Chemistry, the European Network of Academic Integrity (ENAI), and the Ethical Publishing and Dissemination Working Group. Dr. Sumayyia Marar completed her bachelor’s degree from the School of Pharmacy, Amman Alahlyyia University, Jordan, and her master's degree in clinical pharmacy from the University College of London, School of Pharmacy, the UK. Currently, she is the co-chair of the Education and Research Integrity(ERI) team at King Fahad Medical City, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Marar’s areas of research interest include research integrity, research misconduct, plagiarism, research ethics, contract cheating, and predatory scientific journals. She has written several papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals, assisting principal investigators with grant proposal writing and submission process, and providing budget and grant regulations consultations. Dr. Marar is a member of some professional bodies including the European Network of Academic Integrity (ENAI).
