The Iranian legal system is not well known in the West and many clichés persist, clichés and prejudices that have increased since the "clash of civilizations" has been conjured up. Nadjma Yassari:is a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign Private and Private International Law in Hamburg, where she heads the Department for the Civil Laws of Islamic countries.
Jürgen Basedow:
is a Professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Hamburg and since 1997 the director of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign Private and Private International Law in Hamburg.
