Lauren's early writing featured gigantic sunflowers and holidaying foxes, until the epic love so beautifully written in Jane Eyre started her romance addiction, cemented by the modern-day greats that are Sarah J Maas, Elsie Silver and Ali Hazelwood. When spinal fractures forced her to choose a medical career over sprinting, months before the Commonwealth Games, writing and reading was her escape. Fast forward a few years - adding a brainbox son, fiery daughter, supportive husband and big fluffy German Shepherd - and Lauren found her head full of emotional, character-driven love stories screaming to get out. Lauren started writing Is She Me? having faced her own mortality during the pandemic, due to her immune deficiency. The keys kept tapping, fuelled by the twists and turns of life and an early career working closely and volunteering with people. Reading inaccurate depictions of women's trauma in fiction, Lauren knew she wanted to publish and hasn't looked back. She writes emotionally captivating, deep-dive, page-turning romance featuring colourful characters with wonderfully human quirks.
