Rizwan Haider is an international banker. He currently holds the positions of Chairman of hisconsulting firm, Arconseil SAS (www.arconseilafrique.com) and Chairman of the Board of Directorsof the Société Immobilière d'Aménagement Urbain (SImAU www.simaubenin.com).He is also an adviser to the President of the Republic of Benin in banking and financial matters. Inthis capacity, he restructured and completed the merger of two Beninese state banks, creating theBanque internationale pour l'industrie de commerce (BIIC) in 2020. He held the position ofChairman of the Board of Directors of this institution. from 2020 to 2022. BIIC is currently theleading bank in the country.He held the position of CEO of Orabank Benin from 2011 to 2016. His professional career spans more than 40 years. Among the positions held:Principal representative for Africa and the Middle East at Export Development Canada, Canada's official export credit agency. (2006 -2009)Independent consultant providing expertise and assistance to banks, financial institutions and corporate clients in the areas of structured finance and organization, fund management and corporate restructuring. (2004 - 2005)Ecobank Group Chief Operating Officer (2001 - 2004)Senior Vice-President and Regional Director for West Africa of the HSBC Group (1998-2001)Managing Director of Ecobank Benin (1992 - 1998) and from 1992 to 1996, he simultaneously held the position of Managing Director of the Ecobank Group.He is a director of Vista Group Holding, Vista Bank Burkina and Vista Bank Guinea, Société de Gestion et Intermédiation Benin (SGI Benin), L'Africaine de Garantie et de Cautionnement (AFGC) and the PCA of Saphir Asset Management. He was twice president of the Benin Bankers Association (APBEF). He is the founding president of the American Business Club Benin.
