E.E. Linsen was born in Uruguay and now divides his time between the UK and continental Europe-when he's not darting across the globe, that is. With a career spanning over 40 years in international banking, E.E. Linsen has worn many impressive hats: CFO, COO, and CEO at some of the world's most prestigious American and European financial institutions.

His work has taken him from a dominant New York Bank to another in the City of London, with layovers in Asia, Latin America, and the Near East-earning him not just air miles, but a formidable reputation for sharp judgement, strategic thinking, and enviable management skills.

This novel, the first in the Chronicles of the Guild trilogy, is born from that deep well of real-world experience. Packed with insight into the financial and political undercurrents that shape our world, it is fiction grounded in the hard truths of high finance and politics.
