Côte d'Ivoire, the bastion of the Gulf of Guinea, with its inland outlets in West Africa, played a major role in the development of the African continent and the prosperity of certain European powers. Towards the end of the 20th century, this earned it the title of world economic power, ahead of even China. To get to this point, Côte d'Ivoire had to deal with some of the key players in its genesis, who a few decades later left behind a generation of people who had forgotten the sacrifices of its former stature.Today, if Côte d'Ivoire is back on the map with a more modern standard of living, it's because it has known ups and downs, which nevertheless cost it bloodshed like revolutionary France in the 1700s.This book, based on the genesis of the Ivorian nation, calls on political leaders, militants and sympathizers, and national and international opinion, to consider the risks of any form of governance that could lead to post-electoral crises in any country.
