Percival Everett is widely regarded by critics as one of the greatest American writers of this century. He was born in 1956 in Georgia (USA). His voice defies convention through a unique blend of intellectual depth and wild humor. He has received numerous awards. He was a finalist for the Booker Prize for The Trees. The film adaptation of his novel Erasure won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay as American Fiction in 2024.
