Produktbeschreibung
This study of the representation of Jesus' action in the Gospels, with particular attention to the spatial structure, makes us aware that Jesus is shown in the most diverse settings, above all in his homeland and that of the Gospels, in Galilee, and finally in Jerusalem, the place of his Passion, - and that the natural space plays a very important role in this: the desert of Judah, the Jordan, the lake of Gennesaret, the Galilean mountains, and finally the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem with the Garden of Gethsemane at the foot of this mountain. The dominance of these natural spaces in the present study makes the New Testament text and thus the actions of Jesus partly more comprehensible, and the dry framework of the places mentioned in the Gospels at least becomes clear and concrete. The numerous photos illustrating the text also contribute to this vividness.
