JIM OCEAN is an author and seasoned singer-songwriter with a knack for blending the whimsical and the serious, where he captures the complexities of the human condition with wit and wisdom. From "The Rise and Fall of Practically Everything" and "Hard to be Real" with his first band Celtic Elvis to "Fear and Love" with his short-lived group the Dogmatics to his solo project "Pop Tunes for Mystics" to "FrankenClime" with the Jim Ocean Band, his music has always pushed the boundaries. Jim's literary adventures include "John Lennon's Glasses" (peppered with autobiographical flavorings following a lifetime in the music business) and "Pi Noir, Cosmic Private Eye", an ongoing serial inspired by Garrison Keillor's "Guy Noir, Private Eye." As the creative force behind OceanWorks Productions -- the company he runs alongside wife, Kathy -- Jim's passion for music and community-building shines through in everything he does.
