Children's author J. Emerita Romero-Anderson grew up in San Luis, Colorado, where she lived the life inherited from her Spanish colonial ancestors. She is the author of a picture book entitled Grandpa's Tarima, which found a home in The Sunshine Shared Reading program, McGrawHill/The Wright Group. She is also the author of Milagro of the Spanish Bean Pot. Emerita retired from teaching after a career of twenty-seven years to research and write stories for children.
