Autorenporträt
Mary was born in a small Southern Utah town during the Great Depression, Mary and her family spent the World War II years in the Bay Area of California and returned to their family home in Beaver, Utah, soon thereafter. In Beaver, marriage to the love of her life ended too soon in a shocking high profile murder case that resulted in an unusual firing squad execution at the Utah State Prison. A second unhappy, abusive marriage sent her unprepared into the business world as a single mother to raise her four children. Calling upon the example of her courageous foremothers, and her belief in hope for a better tomorrow, Mary battled the glass ceiling of the business world. She became an entrepreneur and a passionate advocate for women and children. Mary has now celebrated her 87th birthday in her comfortable townhouse condo in Holladay, Utah. She serves on the HOA (Homeowner's Association) Board of Directors and still works for the betterment of women in the service organization, Soroptimist International of Salt Lake.
