In the face of unimaginable loss, how can one find the strength to carry on and rediscover joy? "Journey to Joy" is a powerful guide to your authentic self. This book serves as a manual for an inner journey-a guide to recognize, release, and rediscover the wellspring of joy that lies within. It leads to peace, personal growth, and transformation. Have a journal and art supplies be ready to explore, tap into and express your creativity. Through 52 weekly lessons, Anita Albright shares her journey to wholeness after the sudden passing of her 36-year-old daughter, Bonnie. With vulnerability and wisdom, Anita and her readers embark on an exploration of joy. A structured process for uncovering purpose, building resilience, and embracing life after loss unfolds. Divided into eight parts, Journey to Joyaddresses themes such as finding gratitude, connecting with nature, befriending grief, honoring emotions, and learning from the body. Each week features reflections, journaling prompts, and practical techniques that support readers in their journey of self-discovery and growth. Whether grieving the loss of a child, spouse or parent, facing a difficult life transition, or seeking to cultivate more joy and purpose, this joy journey is a life changer.
Autorenporträt
Anita Albright is a mother, a teacher, and a quiet keeper of threads-woven through decades of service, loss, and the sacred remembering of wholeness. Her journey spans over 32 years in education, guiding children of all abilities-including those with dyslexia, autism, and emotional complexity-through the art of experiential learning. For Anita, learning was never about curriculum alone; it was always about wonder, rhythm, and the dignity of each soul's path. She holds degrees in Psychology and Special Education, and has trained in methods such as Orton Gillingham, Wilson, and Lindamood Bell-not as credentials, but as languages through which she could meet her students where they truly were. After the transition of her beloved daughter Bonnie, Anita discovered what could not be taken. Death, as she had been taught to know it, dissolved. In its place: continuity. Presence. A love that cannot leave. Now retired from the classroom but not from the work, Anita serves on the board of SW Colorado ARC and as a regional coordinator for the Net of Light in the Rocky Mountain Region. She continues to walk in attunement, sound healing, and meditative presence-living as a gentle signal of coherence in a world relearning how to breathe. This is her first book. It is not a doctrine. It is a message for those who already feel it rising: that something ancient has ended. And something luminous, living, undivided... has begun.
