Joseph met Joy when they lived in the same apartment building in downtown Chicago, just as Joy was about to relocate to London, England. With years of experience in international transportation and logistics, he managed the packing and moving of her goods to London. They stayed in touch while they lived on separate continents, and Joseph visited her several times in the London suburb of Chiswick. Joy moved back to Chicago, and they were married in the historic Trinity Church in Lower Manhattan, NY.
