Under the title Juan Ramón Jiménez and Drugs, Jonás Sánchez Pedrero has attempted to condense more than fifteen years of reading and research on the work of the poet from Moguer, collecting those passages that have to do with the various medical treatments he received throughout his life that could shed some light on his much-discussed nameless "illness." Juan Ramón Jiménez was a man born for poetry, with an extraordinary, inherent hypersensitivity, who received countless therapies throughout his life, some of them with undeniable (because inevitable) repercussions on his health and also on his work, in a relationship that has not been studied with the depth that would have been desirable.
