Dr. Maksim Godovykh leads international research projects on exploring the impacts of tourism development on the quality of life, health, and well-being of local communities. He also works on developing new methods to measure tourists' and residents’ experience, combining psychophysiological techniques, self-reported surveys, online testing tools, social media analytics, etc. His research has been published in leading international journals, including Tourism Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Current Issues in Tourism, Tourism Economics, Tourism Review, Tourism Management Perspectives, Journal of Destination Marketing and Management, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Tourism and Hospitality Research, etc., as well as disseminated in books, encyclopedias, industry magazines, and news media. He has developed several governmental programs and organized more than a hundred conferences, forums, and workshops.
