In the chapter-book series The Dog Rescuers, they go on a fantastic journey to find purpose, hope, courage, friendship, and generosity, and learn anything is possible with the love of a great dog! In a sleepy town smack dab in the middle of America, Kiddo, a 'scruffy' commitment-phobic mutt searches for his next 'unsuspecting human' to train as a bona fide dog rescuer. He convinces a 'scruffy' mismatched kid named Abby, and her cool neighbor, Luke, to rescue him. Her yard becomes Kiddo's secret site to launch his 'Master Plan' igniting his telepathic superpower of messaging down and out dogs to come and get helped by his new Dog Rescuers in training. The kids have no idea how or why dogs, like the benevolent Great Pyrenees named Zeus, mysteriously show up, and quickly wonder who is actually rescuing who!?
