Honorary chairman of the University of Amsterdam, Émile Michel remains a reference in Flemish painting with his monographies such as Rubens: His Life, Works and Times and The Brueghels, also published by Parkstone Press. A result of years of research, Rembrandt: Painter, Engraver and Draftsman is one of his major works.
