Jae DiBello Takeuchi is Associate Professor of Japanese in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, Bloomington Indiana, USA. Her research interests include Japanese sociolinguistics and language variation, second language acquisition, foreign language pedagogy, native speaker bias, and speaker legitimacy.
