(Hons.) em Engenharia Aeronáutica, pelo Instituto Indiano de Tecnologia, Kharagpur, Índia, e um doutoramento em Física, pelo Instituto Indiano de Tecnologia, Kanpur, Índia. Trabalhou nos domínios da aerodinâmica (projeto LCA, no HAL, Bangalore, Índia), da física atmosférica (colaboração entre).
