Apparently, Yoruba-speaking learners in Nigeria face enormous difficulties when learning French, especially in exercises involving the translation of idiomatic expressions. This book therefore presents some appropriate strategies that learners can use to successfully translate idiomatic expressions, such as cultural substitution, paraphrasing, explanation, etc. Finally, the work suggests the necessary support from the Nigerian government with regard to French language learning in the country.
