Mohammad Fawaz was head of Lebanon's Directorate General of Urbanism (DGU) from 1974 to 1993 and President of the Conseil Exécutif des Grands Projets (CEGP) from 1993 to 1999. From 1999 to 2019, he worked in partnership with his brother in the private consultancy Bureau Technique d'Urbanisme et des Travaux Publics SARL (BTUTP). Christine Mady is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, School of Arts, Design and Architecture, Aalto University, Finland; before that she was an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design, Notre Dame University-Louaize, Lebanon where she was head of department from 2016 to 2020.
