"Legal English in Dramas" is a professionally designed source book aimed at equipping learners of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) with essential legal terminology, communicative competence, and a deep understanding of courtroom discourse. Anchored in the analysis of authentic trial scenes from English-language films, the book presents a rich context in which students can explore the dynamic language of legal professionals, including judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, witnesses, and other courtroom participants. The selected film extracts provide real-world linguistic exposure to formal legal registers, procedural vocabulary, and interactional courtroom strategies, offering a practical and immersive experience in legal English. To enhance the learning experience, the book integrates multimedia content, including QR codes that give students immediate access to curated podcast episodes and full-length courtroom films. These podcasts, developed specifically for this course, support listening comprehension while reinforcing key legal expressions and procedural structures.
